In 2003 when the current owners took over the Boundary, it already had a great tradition within the community which has since been built upon with an even greater involvement such as the Raft Race and the Annual Rugby Beer Festival.
2008 saw the opening of the River Restaurant with its sixty seats inside as well as a fully licensed bar. Weather permitting, there are thirty two seats outside in our beautiful garden overlooking the River Welland. We don’t only offer multi-award winning fish and chips with over ten fish choices available, our flame-grill menu includes, top quality steaks, gammons, chicken-piri-piri, and ribs among other moth-watering choice.
This year, sees the tenth anniversary of the opening of the River Restaurant and we are currently planning some special events and promotions to mark this milestone (more news later in the year.) In the restaurant Saturday is our family day, where all day, two children under the age of ten eat free to one adult purchasing a main meal off the menu.
The takeaway and restaurant offer Gluten free fish and chips all day Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Regular promotions run throughout the year in both the takeaway and restaurant and special Event Nights take place throughout the year with live duos and tribute acts.
Our objective in both the takeaway and the restaurant is simple – to offer the Best Quality Product and the Best Quality Service to all our customers.
Our plans for support within the community for 2018 are now in place. The Raft Race held on the first Sunday in August will see our major sponsorship and the Deeping Gang Show is an annual event that we are proud to be a main sponsor of.
We continue to support the local bowls and tennis clubs as well as being one of the sponsors of the annual Rugby Beer Fest. Look out for information about our 2018 Charity Day (date TBC) where local charities all benefit from a day when we sell cod and chips at a reduced price and all proceeds are donated to good causes, which in the past has included Anna’s Hope, The Deepings Medical Practice and other charities nominated by past Mayors of the Deepings.

It has always been the intention of the Boundary to purchase only the finest quality fish from recognised fish merchants.And that they can guarantee that the fish we purchase has been sourced from sustainable and well managed stocks.To ensure this we have asked all of our fish suppliers to confirm in writing that the fish that they supply to the boundary is sourced from sustainable stocks, and were possible any certification of tractability.
We are very conscious of the environment and the impact we have on it. Where possible we take steps to reduce our carbon footprint. We provide take-away boxes that are environmentally friendly, which are compartmentalised to keep the quality of the product better. We are currently talking to a major supplier to change to a paper carrier bag from the current plastic one in the near future.
